The safety failures we are not instrumenting: a perspective on hidden safety-critical challenges in modern AI systems
Current AI safety discourse still focuses disproportionately on visible failures, including obvious harms, dramatic misuse, and hypothetical catastrophic scenarios. That focus is incomplete.
