On-Policy Self-Distillation in Diffusion Models

Reinforcement learning can align diffusion models with human preferences and task-specific objectives, but endpoint rewards do not specify how an intermediate denoising prediction should change. We introduce DiffusionOPSD as an on-policy self-distillation framework that converts image-level reward guidance into explicit targets for clean-output predictions at sampled queries. At each outer iteration, a frozen behavior policy generates trajectories and supplies query states and anchors. Reward gradients construct bounded positive and negative targets around each anchor. The trainable policy fit

Spider 2.0-AIFunc: Extending Real-World Text-to-SQL to AI-Native SQL Workflows

Major cloud data platforms now expose large language model capabilities as native SQL functions, enabling analysts to perform classification, filtering, sentiment analysis, extraction, similarity search, and aggregation within ordinary SQL queries. Yet existing text-to-SQL benchmarks evaluate only conventional SQL and provide no signal on whether models can generate such AI-native SQL. We introduce Spider 2.0-AIFunc, a benchmark of 465 verified instances across 125 real-world databases covering six types of AI functions on the Snowflake platform. Starting from an existing enterprise text-to-SQ

Can We Break LLMs Out of Self-Loops? Fine-Grained Reasoning Control with Activation Steering

Extended reasoning has become standard for frontier Large Language Models (LLMs), yet the trajectories these models produce remain largely uncontrollable. Existing methods for shaping how a model reasons are prompt based approaches and operate at the input level, offering no fine-grained control over the reasoning process itself. Related work analyzes and discovers latent transition dynamics in the reasoning traces from Large Language Models. Building on this, we statistically characterize these states, and show that failure trajectories get stuck in self-loops, exhausting the token budget wit
