When Local Monitors Miss Compositional Harm: Diagnosing Distributed Backdoors in Multi-Agent Systems

As multi-agent, tool-using LLM systems are deployed, a common safety net is a runtime monitor that checks each message, tool call, or step on its own. We show this net has a fundamental hole. A distributed backdoor splits a harmful payload across agents, so every local check passes while the assembled object is the attack. The monitor can be right on every step and still miss the attack. The problem is not splitting itself: split fragments can still leak suspicious tokens or provenance edges. The hard case is \emph{local benignness}. No fragment carries the harm, and what is left looks like or

Uncertainty-Guided Latent Diffusion Models for Faithful Super Resolution

The perception-distortion trade-off poses a fundamental challenge in single-image super-resolution (SR). Although diffusion-based SR methods excel at generating perceptually realistic images, achieving high fidelity remains a key limitation. Recent advances in diffusion-based SR have shown promise in improving fidelity, but these methods often compromise perceptual quality due to their high reliance on a high-fidelity image. To address this, we introduce UGDiff, a novel diffusion guidance paradigm designed to further improve the perception-distortion balance. In particular, we first estimate t

Robust CurveMoE: Multi-Norm Adversarial Defense for Mixture-of-Experts Models via Mode Connectivity

Multi-norm adversarial defense aims to protect neural networks against perturbations defined by different norm constraints, but existing methods typically optimize competing robustness objectives within a single parameter configuration, leading to substantial training cost and unfavorable robustness trade-offs. We propose Robust CurveMoE, an efficient mixture-of-experts framework that connects models specialized for different perturbation norms through a low-loss path and exploits the complementary robustness profiles of models along this path. Robust CurveMoE derives clean and norm-specialize
