Before the Action: Benchmarking LLMs on Prospective Hypothesis Discovery

Large language models (LLMs) excel at answering pre-specified questions, yet their ability to navigate the open-ended, pre-conclusion stage of discovery remains largely unmeasured. We introduce Prospective Hypothesis Discovery (PHD), which asks models to autonomously construct grounded, discriminative, and testable hypothesis spaces from inconclusive evidence, including anomalous observations and fragmented records, to guide subsequent investigation. To evaluate this capability, we introduce HypoArena, comprising HypoData, a benchmark of 988 cases across six scientific and analytical domains,

Structural-Semantic Reciprocal Learning for Unsupervised Visible-Infrared Person Re-Identification

Unsupervised visible-infrared person re-identification (USVI-ReID) is challenging due to the large modality gap and the lack of cross-modal identity annotations. Progressive association paradigms have been proposed to gradually bridge the gap, but they suffer from two critical bottlenecks: reliance on ambiguous global representations and unchecked propagation of pseudo-label noise in an open-loop manner. To address these issues, we propose Structural-Semantic Reciprocal Learning (SSRL), a framework that transforms open-loop association into a self-correcting closed-loop system. Structurally, w

SCORE: Subject Coordinate Recovery for Label-Free Cross-Subject EEG-to-Image Retrieval

Accurate visual decoding can reveal how the brain represents visual information and recover perceived content from neural signals such as electroencephalography (EEG), with potential for neural communication. However, current EEG-to-image retrieval methods perform far below their within-subject counterparts for new users without labeled calibration, limiting real-world deployment. To understand this gap, we analyze EEG features across subjects and find that different subjects preserve similar relationships among concepts but express them along different coordinate directions. We therefore prop

DT-Guard: Intent-Driven Reasoning-Active Training for Reasoning-Free LLM Safety Guardrail

Large language models deployed in open-world applications require safety guardrails that are both robust to complex risks and efficient enough for low-latency runtime moderation. Existing guardrails face a practical trade-off between lightweight classification-based models, which are efficient but often struggle with concealed intent, ambiguous semantics, and borderline safety decisions, and reasoning-based guards, which improve judgment quality but introduce additional token generation and inference latency. We present DT-Guard, a content safety guardrail model based on a Reasoning-Active Tra

LQCDMaster: Agentic Scientific Computing for Lattice Quantum Chromodynamics Research

Lattice quantum chromodynamics (LQCD) provides a first-principles framework for computing hadronic observables, but its practical use remains limited by the substantial expertise required to turn research motivation into reliable computing workflows. Here we present \textsc{LQCDMaster}, a tool-augmented, skill-guided and domain-specialized scientific computing agent that converts natural-language LQCD research tasks into executable PyQUDA computing workflows, including measurement scripts, job-submission artifacts, execution logs and numerical outputs. The system combines agentic planning, exp

Video = World + Event Stream

We present Wan-Streamer v0.3, which reframes our native-streaming interaction model under a single organizing view: a video is a world plus an event stream. The world is the persistent context in which a video unfolds, including the environment, scene, subjects, ambient acoustic conditions, voice characteristics, and other relatively stable conditions. The event stream is everything that changes over time within that world, including scene or environmental changes, subject behavior, speech, and other sounds. This yields a general-purpose pretraining task over large amounts of real video: given

WorldSample: Closed-loop Real-robot RL with World Modelling

Reinforcement learning (RL) can overcome the demonstration-coverage limitation of imitation learning (IL) by allowing robots to improve through trial-and-error interaction beyond the states observed in demonstrations. However, deploying RL on real robots remains constrained by high interaction costs, since each physical rollout is costly and reflects only one realized action-outcome path. To address this challenge, we propose WorldSample, a physically grounded data augmentation framework for real-robot RL that closes a real-synthetic loop between physical rollouts, world-model generation, and
