What machine is best for my setup? [D]

I was hesitating between two models to help me in my research journey and was wondering if someone had a solid workflow and picked with one of these two big boys: a Macbook pro M5 Pro 64 GB Ram vs M5 Max with 36 or 48 gb RAM.
